Breaking Bad and The Picture of Dorian Gray Connection?????
In the Picture of Dorian Gray, after Dorian murders Basil with a knife, He asks his scientist friend to help him dispose of the corpse. Here Dorian feels no remorse, no pity. He even blackmails Campbell into dissolving the body of Basil for him. This really reminded me of the scene in Breaking Bad where they needed to dissolve a body in order to cover up evidence. I think there is a connection to be made between Breaking Bad and the Picture of Dorian Gray with characters of Walter White and Dorian Gray. While these are drastically different situations, they both hinge on the fact that both characters need to dissolve these bodies to cover up their crimes. There is somewhat of a connection between Dorian Gray and Walter White throughout both of their arcs. They both become corrupted by something that was good.
